Modern Foreign Languages

Key Stage 3

Students study French, German or Spanish for two hours per week for the first two years at Outwood Grange Academy. They learn to understand and communicate at a basic level in the foreign language through a wide variety of different activities.

All students have their own Vocab Express account to support their vocabulary learning at home.

Our 3 Foreign Language Assistants from France, Germany and Spain support every class on a rotational basis during the course of the year. They work with small groups to help students gain confidence in conversing with a native speaker.

There is also an opportunity for students to join one of our trips to France, Germany or Spain in the summer months.
