GCSE Business Studies – (AQA)
In this academic course students use many topical examples for small and large businesses to cover issues concerning the setting up and operation of a business. These include marketing activities, finance, people in a business, reasons for success or failure and the influence of stakeholders.
Learners apply their knowledge to a small local business and recommend business solutions.

The GCSE course is 75% examined and 25% controlled assessment:

This contemporary academic course is inspirational and fascinating, providing learners with an in-depth and critical understanding of the internal functions of contemporary business. Students investigate the activities of small and medium businesses, finances, marketing, people and operations management as well as the effects of stakeholders upon decision-making.

The AS students are starting the new OCR course. It is 100% examined:

This course is for highly motivated students interested in a career in business.
Learners are given the opportunity to study the business environment, management of resources, marketing, communication, finance, administration and management.

82% of students passed with Distinction* and 18% with Merit.

Psychology

This academic GCSE provides an introduction to Psychology by exploring ten key psychological topics. Students will develop key skills in conducting, analysing and evaluating research.
